COLORDRIPPERS CAN BE SAVORED MANY WAYS

ARTISTIC DENSITIES

When in a dormant resting state, the colors in most drippers (depending on design) stack in tiers as the liquids settle creating interesting patterns. Each is filled by hand with slightly different mixes and has its own unique DNA.

DRIP DROP HOORAY

Flip one over and gravity allows the fluids to get down and dance. Some oils get jjiggy, while others will move sluggish when they first wake up.

You can command oceans of color with simple movements of your wrist.

The exact flow of colors will always be unpredictable no matter how often it's used.

NOTE: the operating temperature range is 33° F — 120° F. Do not leave them in freezing temperatures for extended periods.

THE COLORS WILL NEVER MIX

Each colordripper is made with household chemicals, and premium artist grade pigments that will not congeal. If you shake it you can produce a mesmerizing bubble emulsion, but it will always revert back to its eccentric self and won't go stale on you.

For the most vibrant display, view it in bright lighting or outside. You can also light them from behind with a lamp.

A RUNDOWN OF THE DESIGN

SOFT CONTOURS

The surface has no hard angles and features smooth beveled edges. Drippers are as easy on the hands as they are on the eyes.

BILATERAL ACTION

Each dripper has two separate chambers of liquids, allowing you to view multiple layers of colors mixing without them blending.

ERGONOMIC SHAPE

An hourglass form makes the colordripper a comfortable fit for any age or sized hand. And the total weight is just 4 ounces, so they won't easily tire wrists with extended play or therapy.

STURDY AIRTIGHT CONSTRUCTION

Plastic shells will stand up to frequent use, and non-removable plugs on the bottom keeps all of the action contained within.

STUFF YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING:

We've provided some common questions & answers about the product below. We also have a general FAQ that covers a lot of ground, in addition to more specific support pages such as shipping. If you question is answered do not hesitate to reach out at the bottom of this page.

SO, IT'S JUST FOOD COLORING & WATER?

No, it's a bit more nuanced.

Although these are in a familiar form, we are playing with fluids of varying thicknesses and different chemical properties than traditional kinetic liquid motion toys. Plus we are using premium oils, pigments, and dyes giving a more vibrant and animated display. These can be enjoyed by everyone, but were designed with autistic people & adult hippies in mind.

No two colordrippers are identical and each is filled one at a time with a human's touch & curiosity, creating a wide range of speeds and color combinations. There will never be two exactly the same which is why we refer to them as artsy fartsy.

WILL THE DRIPPERS LEAK?

Under everyday circumstances these pose little chance of leaking.

Colordrippers are professionally molded out of thick plastic. Once filled and plugged, the compartments are thoroughly examined to confirm they are air tight. Each is individually sealed in a plastic bag for retail, giving you added confidence that the item has no leaks, whether you purchase one at a store, or online.

Although highly unlikely — should a leak occur — place it n a ziplock bag and seal it to prevent spillage. If you believe it leaked through no fault of your own, or if you receive a package which has been damaged during transit please do not hesitate to contact us.

We want to stress that this is not a toy, and if looked after properly it should have a long and happy life. The outer plastic shell is durable and resilient.

WILL THE PLUG UNSCREW?

No, the plug won't come out on its own volition unless intentionally tampered with using pressure. For this reason we recommend these for people 7 and up.

Note: we appreciate that these are enjoyed by young people who may be on the autism spectrum or might otherwise be more inclined to jam a nail or screwdriver into the plug, just because it's there. If your plug is ever pushed in, no worries. Please contact us and we will mail you a replacement which you can insert into the hole. If requested while checking out online, we'll be happy to include free plugs if you are concerned.

Again, the plug will not come loose unless messed with deliberately and forcefully. This is a non issue for all but a few exceptions, but should that ever happen, it's can be fixed.

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

We use mostly common household ingredients, many of which you likely have in your home or regularly use such as mineral oil. The chemicals should not pose any danger if the fluids come in contact with skin, although the dyes may stain.

WILL THE COLORS FADE, OR THE OILS SEPARATE?

The drippers should not fade noticeably under normal conditions. And unless there is a drastic change in our laws of physics we don't expect the oils to coagulate.

WHAT TEMPERATURES SHOULD THE BE KEPT AT?

They prefer room temperature, and will move marginally faster when it's hot out, and a little slower when they are cold. Do not freeze them or expose them to temperatures below 33° F, or above 120° F (roughly 0—50 degrees Celsius). Keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods to avoid overheating.

WHAT AGE GROUP IS THIS FOR?

The colordripper is not a toy and is not recommended by us for use by people under the age of 13. Young autistic children who may have a propensity to throw things should not handle this item without supervision.

HOW CAN I CLEAN THE SURFACE?

They are given a quick bath before being packaged & sealed in a cellophane bag.

You can wash them with plain old water & soap, or bathe them at the river or beach with running water. They can be disinfected with a simple lysol wipe if they are being shared in a classroom setting. Do not use chemical cleaners as they could discolor the plastic

The material is not scratch prone, however you should not keep them in a pocketbook with sharp objects, or in your pocket if you keys as that can mar the surface.

The material is quite forgiving and will hold up to normal use.
